The Challenge
Refineries are the primary source of sustainably sourced, investment grade gold in Africa, however, because of the low capacity of mines, and smuggling of gold, these refineries are left with minimal supply of gold for refinement. Across emerging markets, over 1billion people face systematic barriers to accessing investment-grade gold.
goals and objectives
Lume is building a regulated platform that lets African businesses instantly convert local currencies into digital gold through our network of licensed bullion partners. This gives millions of people access to a stable store of value.
Product overview
The client approached us with a list of key features intended for the MVP version of the application. Our task was to develop a product from the ground up for both mobile and web. We helped the client build a distinctive brand identity within their application establishing key branding elements. The color contrast of black against gold created a visual resonance innovation and premium quality along with a clean and intuitive interface design.
After the designs initial wireframes were approved, I worked on the high fidelity prototype of the screens that we agreed on. The sign up screens were designed to be easy and intuitive containing
micro-interactions upon user completion of the flow.
The app’s lightweight and modern design keeps the user experience focused on essential daily functions. The web-experience ensuring it was responsive and followed a similar flow as the mobile experience to prevent cognitive dissonance.
